How do I find the money quick to neuter my dog before my brother decides to force him into having puppies?

This Question From Make Money Quick | 9 Answers

QUESTION:

Before I start, don’t come in here saying rude things about my brother okay its not of your business.

Anyways, my brother wants to breed my dog. But I don’t want him to have puppies. I want to neuter him as soon as possible. But I have no money and i asked the vet she said neutering will be around 0 – 0 I’m 17 and can’t work in fast food places, and volunteering at animal shelters doesn’t pay of course. So how can I can find money quick?
My dog is the type who will probably kill the puppies anyways if he has them, and another reason is of course overpopulation. So yeah just answer the question and don’t ask anything

Some municipalities and nonprofit organizations are so hung ho about neutering that they will do it for no charge. This is something you can look into.

At 17, I am not sure you will be able to perform the task without parental signoff, whether you get a free one or one that is paid.

Males can not have puppies so I don’t see what you are worried about. Neutering does not cost that much check other places. Shouldn’t cost much over $100. if that. Now if you had a female to spay that would cost maybe double the neutering fee. Not asking anything just telling it like it is. If you want you can show your brother the following:

    And the paper work involved:

You could get a sponsor from friends or you could ask family or friends for a loan. You could probably even look into getting a loan from somewhere or making a claim for some money . Hope I helped

If it’s not our business why ask because we can only advise you, your dog will be at stud it’s the bitch that has the puppies with the many complications that can cause. You don’t sound very sensible to me because bitches are spayed and dogs are neutered. How do you know if your dog would kill her pups is it because you have made her aggressive and nasty, I feel very sorry for this dog and can only suggest you ask a charity to help you or pay a vet monthly. Your brother sounds the typical bully of a sad dog that has no say in what happens to her. Shame on him if he thinks it’s easy money.

first of all, males don’t have puppies. females have puppies. second if it’s YOUR dog why does your brother have the right to breed him? call or google the shelters and rescues in your area. in my area there are multiple organizations that will neuter a dog for $50 and one that will neuter bully breeds for free. 4-5 hundred dollars is a ridiculous amount. you will find someone to do the neuter in your area for under 200. this IS a male dog we’re talking about right? you keep saying HE but the rest doesn’t make sense to me.

May I ask why your brother wants to breed from your dog? He is your dog, not his.
Anyhow, if you look hard enough, you will probably be able to find a good, low-cost veterinary clinic who will do it for you. If you are lucky, they may also be able to care for him if he ever needs urgent veterinary help, like if he ever gets sick or injured, for instance.
Also, you may be able to just keep your brother from breeding from him until you find a good, low-cost veterinary clinic who will do this. Try telling him all that you know about canine overpopulation and how some dogs are treated because of it. With a bit of luck, that should put him off of breeding from your dog at least for a while.
    Best of luck.

Try this low cost spay and neuter search http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/spayneuter

Call the Humane Society or a local shelter and ask them how much they charge to neuter. They have clinics and doctors volunteer their time to help dogs in need. I don’t think it would cost over $150.00 at a clinic. Give them a call on Monday and find out when they are offering discounted neutering.

You are rude when you ask questions, you don’t deserve help. However, some organizations are very keen to keep the dog population down and they will neuter F.O.C.

You might get some help if you phone “rescue centers” and they may be someone there who will give you advise. If the first phone call is fruitless keep trying.

Try to be polite when you phone.
