   interesting fact: internet actually started off as part of the U.S. military project before it was released to the public.

   worse. by far. look at all the sites that are out there. how many accually give you good info. people are now hacking into other peoples stuff. no need for a billion sites for one thing. better graphics, more advertisment, slows everything down. possible viruses by just going to sites. worse i tell you by far worse.

   I think it is better and worse. Better because it is so accessible and there is more information out there, but worse because it is so easy to get scammed or even worse. There is TOO MUCH information out there.
   If you are doubtful, just go to GOOGLE and put in your home phone number and hit search. more likely than not you will get a hit, and from there you can get a map and driving directions. Anyone can get that information.

   There are things that are better and worse. I’m going back to the day…

   I miss the mystique it had in the early 90’s when almost everything was command line and it was still a big deal to talk to people on IRC from other countries. Usually they were college students or military personnel. I do hate the spam and commercialism we have now, but I know it’s a necessary evil.

   What I do really like is the usefulness. The other day I typed “embed video into html” into Yahoo! and the exact answer popped up as the first result. That saved me hours of time. So in that regards, the internet is much better.

   I also hear that it is much better for porn now. In the early 90’s it was all just ascii porn, now we have those new fangled moving pictures. Games are better now. Sure beats the days of lunar lander on the teletype.
