master of Public Health, accredtied schools?

QUESTION:

Hi, I’m a college student who’s interested in MPH (master of public health) program. I woner why some good school swith MPH program are not on the US NEWS rank.

For instance, UC Sandiego, USC, UC Irvine, UC Davis.. those 4 schools are not affiliated to some blah blah organization and not on the US NEWS public health rank.
(I really wanna go california for grad school)

But there are schools like Loma Linda, San Diego State Univ that are not very famous. What should I choose? Is it really important to get to a affiliated or accredited schools?

    Don’t get too caught up with USnews rankings. Go where it’s accredited and where you are happy.

    San Diego State also offers a joint PhD with UC San Diego in Public Health – Epidemiology emphasis.
