QUESTION:
Hi everyone, im thinking about starting a content based, affiliate marketing and ad space selling website business. while doing some research on this topic iv found some things im confused about and was wondering if you could help me out.
I was wondering what the advantages would be of me buying a actual website over simply opening up a word press website.
how important is search engine optimization for driving traffic toward my website/ word press
how much money will i need for start up?
should i make it a business (paperwork and what not) or is that not necessary?
is the auto responder programs all they are cracked up to be?
will i run into any problems because of my age (im 17)
any other advice you think i should know?

While Wordpress offers good tools, if you’re serious about starting a business I suggest that you get a website or use the Paid Version Wordpress upgrade. Search optimization is critical to growing your website. For the rest of your questions, consider sites like the Discount Business Association that offer free trial websites, free auto responder programs and email marketing. Good Luck.
There are no actual advantages of buying web hosting over using a Wordpress site, however, you should at least buy a domain with keywords related to your site’s content.
SEO is pretty important if you don’t want to do a lot of manual promoting or PPC ads. Use relevant tags (around 4-6 for each post if on Wordpress).
100 bucks would be good for a starter. That includes hosting, domain name, etc. If you’re planning on having a ton of traffic I would recommend finding a host that doesn’t measure bandwidth such as HostMonster or something like that.
Business thing really isn’t necessary? Depends on what you’re doing.
Yes/No, some auto-responders are crappy, but there are a few that are absolutely amazing.
Your age. Yeah there will be a few problems if you are planning to sign up to affiliate networks, etc because most of the networks require you to be 18 or older and to verify your identity with a social security number or other means of verification. As for age and purchasing a domain and web hosting, most sites you only have to be 13 or something. Not sure about that.
